Final regional round-up of events #CSEDay16

National Awareness Day

Thanks to everyone who joined #CSEDay16

Wow, what a fantastic response we have had from you all, once again the CSE Awareness Day far exceeded our expectations, and that is fundamentally down to you all, the enthusiasm you all had to get involved in the CSE Awareness Day was exceptional! And so many creative ideas, you are all amazing, we know how much work has to go into planning and executing these events.

The day was top of many peoples social media feeds, our #CSEDay16 and #HelpingHands trended on Twitter for the whole working day (above #SportRelief all day- which we think is pretty impressive for the 2nd ever CSE awareness raising day). The NWG #CSEDay16 team retweeted and shared as many events, posts and photographs as possible throughout the day – we even managed to get ourselves banned from Twitter for an hour for over use!in fact our tweets earned 44,812 impressions on the day.

We really hope that we managed to cover everyones events and pledge – it was quite a job keeping up at times – you have all been fantastic!

There were events as far a field as Jersey (they even got their rugby team to write #HelpingHand pledges) and Guernsey. There were pledges from Leeds United, Coventry City and Hollyoaks actors.

and our Thunderclap reached 2,653,813 which is really amazing, you can see just how fast it went up just in the last 12 minutes before it ended:Screen Shot 2016-03-18 at 11.51.11

We received hundreds of #HelpingHand images which we have uploaded to our Instagram account, our Stop-CSE Awareness day tab and to a #HelpingHands #CSEDay16 album on our FaceBook page.

We gave several radio interviews over the day and there was plenty of local press:

Thank you once again – it is down to you that the day was a success – together we can create a society with a zero tolerance of this crime.
